Word from the Inventor

I have been a chess enthusiast for many years. Though I like chess a lot as a fun game, it is also mentally stimulating. I have had many an enjoyable game. One night in particular I was playing a very competitive game, which came down to me playing 1 wrong move, and losing because of it.
In my opinion, chess has become so studied, and analysed to the point that correct chess can be, and is, mastered. If you make one wrong move, or lose a major piece for no gain, then a better player should beat you every time, so I started thinking - What if you could make chess more exciting?
Somehow make chess last longer, or give a player a better chance to win. The original thought was to expand on chess, and create a game of double chess. So keeping chess in the middle, I started expanding the board one square all the way around to be 10 x 10 squares. There was enough room to put 2 sets of pieces at each end; however it was too cluttered, so I went to 12 x 12 squares. Then I laid pieces into various positions, tested many possibilities over a long period of time, and finally Synergy Chess was born.
Synergy Chess is an innovative game of double chess. Using 2 sets of pieces each, the object of the game is to Checkmate 2 Kings. You can checkmate 1 at a time, or try and Checkmate both Kings in 1 move (good luck with that). If you like chess as a fun game - Try Synergy Chess – You’ll love it!
Best Regards,
Rob Olsson.
